UK Royal Succession

The new rules eliminating male preference (primogeniture) and replacing it with absolute primogeniture only apply to people born after 28 October 2011. The first people effected by the 2013 law of succession are the children of Lady Davina Lewis. Also, people who were previously removed from the Succession for marrying Catholics but who did not convert to Catholicism themselves are restored to it per the 2013 Succession to the Crown Act. The first person in the line to whom this applies is the Earl of Saint Andrews, the eldest son of HRH The Duke of Kent. Strikethroughs indicate those who removed themselves for actually converting to Catholicism. So the new law allows people to be married to Catholics, but still not to be Catholic. The only thing that could change that would be a repeal of the 1701 Act of Settlement.
